Dear Scotland,
We had good and bad times, but we are like family so I guess it’s normal. I wish you could adopt me, because I love everything about you: from your hills, lochs and towns to your tiny roads, lack of winter tires and dreich weather. Oh, and your daffodils.
I miss you terribly, but I’ll see you again since we have unfinished business (Skye, Aran islands, Ullapool book festival…).
Love,
An exchange student
